A trade line is a record of an account on your credit report. By adding an authorized user trade line from a well-established account, you may benefit from that account’s positive history. This can improve your credit profile and increase your chances of loan or credit approval. Trade lines are a strategic option for certain clients with specific credit goals.
How long does it take for a trade line to appear?
Once paid in full, most trade lines are added to your credit report within 3-6 weeks. After it posts, we can pull updated reports using mortgage, auto, or bank score models to evaluate your new position. This timing allows us to help you target the exact purchase or financing goal you’re working toward.
